Reception opening hours / Late arrivals

There is always a staff member at the hotel, in case of late arrivals, please inform us in advance, either with a note in your reservation with your expected arrival time, you can also call or send us an email so we can make the necessary arrangements.

How to make a reservation?

Directly on our webpage, you can find our online booking tool ” Book Now” where you can enter your travelling dates and find more information about our availability and rates.

What type of rates do you offer? / What is the cancellation policy?

We offer both refundable and non-refundable rates. Refundable rates give you more flexibility in case you need to modify or cancel your reservation, it allows you to cancel up to 48/h prior to arrival free of charge. Non-refundable reservation offers you a more economic rate, charges may occur anytime after the reservation, cancellations are not possible, the guest will be charged the total price if they cancel.

What are the check-in & check-out times?

Check-in is from 15:00, check-out time is at 11:00.

My flight arrives early in the morning, can I check-in early?

We offer you the option to book the night prior to your arrival for half price, this is if your reservation was made on Hotel Hilda’s website. This will ensure that you can check in as soon as you arrive.

Parking facility and policy

There is a parking area right in front of the hotel, as we are in the city centre, parking fees apply: 125 isk/ hour weekdays: from 9:00 am to 18:00 pm, Saturday: from 10:00 am to 16:00 pm, Sunday and holidays is free of charge.

Do I need a credit card to make a reservation?

A valid credit card number is required to guarantee all reservations.

What cards are accepted for guaranteeing reservations?

We accept VISA, Master Card, American Express, Maestro.

I wish to book tours and activities prior to my arrival, can you assist us?

Yes, we are always happy to help you organize your trip, the easiest way is to book is on our website  through “Book Tours” which has several suggestions on what you can do and explore in Iceland, or you can send us an email or ask us during your stay at our reception desk.
